Are you sick and tired of hearing how kids wind up dying because they were left in the car? Every stinking year when summer starts all news stations give REMINDERS to NOT leave your kids or pets in the car. And the excuses these idiots give? Are you serious?
Dear Dad loads the 1-year-old twins into the car to take them to daycare BEFORE going to work. But nooooooo; instead he goes to work. And apparently when he gets out of the car he doesn't realize they are still in the car??????
So for 8 hours those twins got to COOK while in the car. Their body temps were 108 degrees when they were found.
I realize most people can't add 2 plus 2 anymore but at even 80 degrees, it only takes 20 minutes for the temp to reach 100 degrees inside of a car. And New York City hasn't exactly been low in temps so far in the month of July.
He forgot they were in the car????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How many miles was it from his house to the daycare.....100, 300 1,000; long enough for him to go brain dead??????????????????
h
His 1-year-old twins died after he left them in a hot car. He thought he dropped them off at daycare
Juan Rodriguez is charged with two counts each of manslaughter, criminal negligent homicide and endangering the welfare of a child, the New York Police Department said.

This has been an excuse one too many times. How on earth do you not look once in the backseat or in the rearview mirror and not see kids? Or see the car seat and be reminded that you are taking your kids to daycare? I may be absent-minded but goodness sakes. They try to do give you suggestions on "how to not forget your kids in the backseat" like NO, people should not forget that their kids are in the backseat. I honestly do not see how that is possible. I don't care how stressed and overworked a person is. There is no way a person could forget someone is in the backseat.

My friend called tonight, and we talked about this case. It is also mentioned on our news sites. It is so hard to understand how anyone could forgot two children. I understand why people forget their wallet, phone, jacket etc, but how can you forget two children?

@beenice2 A company ought to come up with a sticker that's attached to the drivers door just below the window that says, "CHECK FOR CHILDREN."

Sometimes we forget our true responsibility towards others and only care about our stress and workloads which is surely shameful and repentant.

This is one thing that tended to amaze me as well. How can you leave little ones this age in a Car? What was he thinking? His poor wife. No, no compassion for someone who can do this.

He dropped his four-year-old off first so how in the he$$ did he forget these two? Did he not think about them at all during the day? Did the other day care not care enough to call him and ask where they were? Some came to his defense claiming he was a good daddy and it was an accident and give him some empathy. No. I don't care how overwhelmed I am, I will never forget a child in my car. A good daddy and mommy won't either.

I know right? It doesn't make sense to me @noni1959 . I'm curious as to why the day care didn't call him too.
