Shadow Needs to Take a Bath..."Rain, Rain, Go Away!!!

It is really against all odds to let my son Shadow to take a bath. He was really an explorer lately. He managed to show his hunting skills at the brookside of my place. But then, he came home with a stinky fur. My son is becoming a matured cat.

As it expected, my mom is so against to let him be wet of water. The old belief is being uttered that it will rain.

A belief of wetting your cat makes rain? Lol I seriously don't believe any such superstition or illogical beliefs unless ofc it does prove me otherwise. I am glad your cat is fine cause mine got sick of getting too wet

You know elders usually have such beliefs. I am pretty sure there are some beliefs that are illogical there, right? It is a quick way of bathing him.

We do once a week for the dogs here. Since they are staying in the yard, my friend. Shadow never had a shower after this first experience.lol

Some cats love water, they are the same family as tigers after all. Bubi loves to play with the water in my garden, he gets wet every time I water the garden.

@Shavkat Bubi did something hilarious yesterday. He likes if I slowly pour water from a bottle inside the bowl, so he drinks while I pour. The other cat came and looked at the water. Bubi left his paw a couple of times, I told him "be quiet", suddenly he pushed the head of the other inside the bowl. Poor kitty, Buby is a bully.

No pets at home but we had cats in our home when I was small. Never bathed cats but bathed dogs alone. There may be many superstitions, it is part of life.

Even in my country, it is not common for cats to take a bath. I am sure my granny will be in a rage when seeing me doing this.

Doodles is in charge of his own bathing. However, we did have a very fluffy Persian cat who did need a bath due to having a bad upset stomach. I let my husband take care of that bath. lol. The cat didn't mind it too much, but boy did he look skinny when wet.

@Shavkat there are 2 ''pusakals'' at the back, kabsat. we feed them bth with fish bones. the orange one is more wild than the gray one.

That's a handsome cat. Sorry I have no experience about cats. I can admire them from a distance. I and my daughters have bad allergy with cats and so we can not enjoy these animals in close proximity.

I do not know if cats should be bath on. I know dogs should be at least once a week but I do not know with cats. They do not like to be taken to bath at all.

I think it is not possible. But I tried a quick bath with Shadow. I need to prepare lukewarm water and blower. I must admit that it is a tad challenging.

It is a good thing that there are no other cats attempt to go here. It stopped when my girls' cats run away with their boyfriends.
