Relatives

My mum arrived here in Brisbane this morning from Manila and we had brekky together with my older sister. The house was a bit of a mess, so my mum tried to clear a few things and sooner than later, they started arguing, then went on silent mode and back to good terms again. I was washing the dishes and I just started to ponder on how people really are with their relatives. Relatives I say and not family because we often consider our friends family. So those family members that we are really related to by blood, how do we really treat them? I've noticed people are much kinder to friends or new acquaintances than those they are related with, something that I try to balance as much as I can. Lol. This is also one of the reasons why I tend to keep silent when about to get irritated so to not lash off to the person as words spoken and actions done can be explained later but can never be taken back. Some pondering thoughts for today. How do you like your relatives? I love mine, flaws and all. :D Have a great weekend all.

You will just have to adjust with them and get along while they are still there.

I have always been lucky that everyone in my family got along really well for the most part. And any disagreements or arguments that did pop up would quickly be quelled by a dose of humor.

That's the same for us. It doesn't go beyond an hour. Thought came to mind though based on observations from other families I know.

@JeahNika Are you a Filipina, or an Australian? Just curious, because you said your mum came from Manila to visit.

It's sad if relatives/families grow apart as time goes by.

Hello good morning it's very tough question how to deal with your relatives but sometime we have to do all the things and we have to manage all the things also
