Depression....

I am not a counselor or someone who is knowledgeable enough to talk about it, but somehow living around the people who face this issue, I have learned few things... I try not ask someone their reason for depression, because what I have understood, it's not that straight forward thing. It's complicated, and we might never be able understand. I had few symptoms, like 5 years back but somehow my counselor helped me. Soon after taking up meditation, things changed at my end. I know it's hard to be friends with such people... And sadly both my besties have this issue... I know sometimes it gets on the nerve... But I think, friendship is all about being there.... Do you have ever faced similar issue...??? Have you been friends with someone who is depressed...??? What did you do...???

I did have one but somehow we are no longer very close now. There was a time when I felt that I had started cribbing like her and then I knew it was a time to make a distance

Good decision! If someone or something starts influencing us in a wrong way, it time to turn our back

I come across people suffering from this as a counselor. Though people who don't understand it much see it as an issue of weakness or people who are not fighters. But it's much more complicated and can take any one into its grip. It also has genetic influence which is still not confirmed. We need really sensitive people around to understand it. It's a condition and not something you choose out of choice. So no judgement. And I feel these people are not weak ones but strong ones who are battling with it.

Friendship is all about being there for one another. This means in happy times and sad times.

Depression is a difficult condition. I can understand how people feel because I was also depressed. The difference is that some people take it very hard because it depends on the cause of the depression.

I have and anyone isn't exempted. Treating or handling may be easy if the root cause is identified. The problem is defined. Thus making or arriving to a solution could be effectively reached.
