Do you know the names of the three wise monkeys? They are: Mizaru (See no evil), Mikazaru (Kikazaru – Hear no evil), and Mazaru (Iwazaru – Speak no evil).
The fourth wise monkey is called Shizaru (Do no evil).
Those three wise monkeys are supposed to represent a way not to feel evil. The common sense is this: not to see anything, not to hear anything and not to say anything. But can it really be that simple? To me, such a philosophy can hardly be reduced to this only sentence.
I have always heard about the three wise monkeys. And have seen many photos about them. But never knew anything about the fourth one.
Have you heard of this fourth monkey.. Do No Evil?

These four societal archetypes are intertwined, and although their behaviors are dissimilar, their differences fit together into one dysfunctional whole.

no ma'am, not 'xactly? i've seen the 4th 's "have no fun". curiosity got me huntin' further, i'd nary a clue to the origins 'f any 'f the monkeys. i know...i need to get out more.
anyhow, here's a link to a bit more 'xplanation 'n diff'rent thoughts'n these monkeys. i think they're more a symbol 'f don't feed evil 'n let 't win out o'er good morals.

BY HARISH MONGA DIDO We all have heard about the ‘three wise monkeys’ of Mahatma Gandhi representing the principle – covering his eyes, who sees no evil, covering his ears, who hears no evil, covering his mouth who speaks no evil. These three wise monkeys

But isn't that akin to turning a blind eye to evil? Not doing something about it?
