As I remember, the first thing I bought and I owned for myself is my UniSilver watch. I really can’t go out without my watch then next is my phone. I owned them through my job. I also seldom buy things because I always pay my rent and bills. So when I bought my watch and phone I feel very proud coz it paid off my hard work.
Then I started buying my own TV, electric fan, DVD player and many to mention. This happened when I was living alone and renting and when I was still healthy.

@JustBhem Back in the day...MAYBE. But not hardly. Nowadays you couldn't even buy a set of tires for that. I bought my first car in 1989. It was a 1980 Ford Fiesta hatchback. It served me fairly well, although I think I had to have to carburetor rebuilt something like five times and of course it suffered other problems and issues. But it was mine, and I loved it.

The first thing I purchased in my adult life right after high school was a car, a Dodge Colt.
It was just basic transportation. But it was reliable, for the most part.
