I just finished this novel today and, well, it was pretty bad. I'm not even sure why I kept reading it to the end.
It starts with Kate being called from the US back to her childhood home on the island of St. Vincent to help save the family's underwater salvage business. She meets Holden Cameron, someone from the company that hired the business, who is there to determine if the project should continue or be shut down.
Of course there is the usual sexual tension, eventual sex, etc. There's some disappearances, bad weather, and hostage-taking thrown in for good measure. It couldn't have been more formulaic.
I wouldn't recommend this book to anyone. It is really pretty bad.

I wonder why we feel compelled to finish books even when we aren't enjoying them? I have some on the kindle that I may actually finish..even though they are sub par.
