Life aint all rainbows 'n glitter

Such'd be nice, but most unrealistic. We've all demons we battle'n some level 'r 'nother. Some've better copin' skills than others. I figure that gift 'r lack there'f stems from when we were young'uns, but then some comes from choice. Long 'go, I dribbled 'bout'n idea fer folks. 'tis kin to a "Thankful Jar". Somethin' I use to get a bit 'f a diff'rent perspective'n what 'tis happenin' 'n my world. I take snippets out'ta my day 'n put 'em to paper. What's caused me strife, hurt my one remainin' feelin', what's pushed me near the edge 'f sanity. I do the same with the thingies that bring me joy. The way a shadow 'tis cast through the trees, a butterfly, hummin'bird, interestin' clouds, etc. Doesn't gotta be large, 'tis the simplest 'f thingies. Ya need to seek these gifts out'n the beginnin'. Each 's its own designated box/jar/container. One fer the good, one fer the ugly. Once the ugly 'tis put to paper, I put such out'ta my mind (not'n easy task, but a learnt'un), no dwellin' 'loud. The same with the good. 't the end 'f the week, find a quiet time 'n place. Open the "ugly" first 'n read 'em all out loud. Burn 'em, shred 'em, throw 'em out with the rubbish. Jest let 't go. This'd be a lesson 'n learnin' that'cha can't control schtuff, nor other folks behaviors. Jest yer own, but means 'f how ya react. If'n necessary, get'cha a good cry. Punch a pillow (no busted knuckles that way), scream 'nto a pillow - whate'er 't takes. Take a walk if'n necessary. I highly disagree with goin' fer a drive to clear one's head - yer distracted 'n such's dangerous fer self 'n others. Then, open the "good" container. Read those out loud. Let those memories bring ya peace. Do a bit 'f reflection 's when most folks start this, they find their "good" way less'n the "ugly". Dependin' 'pon yer "curve", soon such'll be more e'en. Seems we tend to o'erreact to much these days. Ignorin' all that's good. With a bit 'f time, the "ugly" 'll diminish 's ya seek out more 'f the good. A new habit formed - one to choose happiness 'n contentment. took this pic last eve, far'n the distance where they'd rain 't the time 'n we'd nary a drop. 'twas a beaut 'n i couldn't miss the opportunity fer such a gift.

There is a lot of wisdom in that! I don't have many troubles of my own but the household I live in seems to have it's share of turmoil at the moment.

Gorgeous and magical rainbow. And I can relate to your words more than you realize. We all get dealt cards through life that may not be so good. But if we keep going, things will eventually get tolerable. You are full of wisdom and should write a book my friend.

so glad my humble pic 'n words touched yer heart, ms. carol. yes ma'am, sometimes "schtuff" jest happens, way beyond our control most oft. easy to succumb to the darkness 'f such 'n ferget to seek out the gifts that've 'lways been there. see how good yer heart'd be? i'd need to don my "proper" hat fer such 's most'll not tolerate my dribblin' :)

'tis awful, these demons 's they're prone to surfacin' 't times unannounced. yer welcome ~

What this language called? You seriously got my grammar test done there Jokes apart. @Gillygirl Always suggest me good discussion here... As past is past , we can't do anything about it. There no time for re reading what hurt you and remembering the past and then burn it. The practice will make you stronge

Beautiful photo. I agree with this concept. We have to be able to deal with the ugly because we cannot control it or in most cases change it. If we continue to count our blessings, they will overcome all the bad and ugly.

@kareng {peekin' 'round the corner like a frightened lil mouse} 'tis the oddest 'f thingies 's this's happened to me twice recent?? yes ma'am, easier said'n done. 'specially'n the beginnin' if'n one's not the mindset fer such. this's kind'a a learnin' thingy?? a tool to help folks learn to 'ppreciate more 'n dwell less'n schtuff they've no control o'er. gives a bit 'f time to chew'n those they can 'n make 'ppropiate changes'n their lives.
