I bought a hibiscus bush a couple of months ago at a flea market. When I bought it it had a red bloom on it. Much to my surprise it now has red and yellow flowers on it. I haven't seen this before. Have you? My day today is going pretty good. I add to my blog, no problems there, and I am currently trying to answer my notifications. I hope I catch up with them. I also have been lucky enough to add a couple of pages to my book. Yeah! What is going on with all of you beautiful people out in myLotland?

Your plant must be a hybrid? grafted? I've heard the see from hybrids are not fertile but not sure if this is even true. How would these plants reproduce if so? It's very pretty. I haven't had good luck with hibiscus in the past, but I was working then so maybe not enough time. They are supposed to be easy to grow. The flowers are beautiful.

@HazySue That is awesome. You should try to start some from seed or else let him work his wonders.

I had a beautiful double hibiscus at the house we sold about two years ago. I hated to leave it there but was afraid it would die if I transplanted it. My husband is a miracle worker with plants.

It is a small one. Hopefully it will fill out by next year. When we got it, the poor thing was just a twig.

@LindaOHio Not me, my husband. They don't let me near living plants.

I thought I might have a mutant bush. It does look odd with two different flowers but I love it. As for the blog, I have so much to learn. Right now it's a good day f I can get a little on there without losing it along the way. But, 8i am learning along the way.

Interesting name, sort of musical sounding. Love having the two colors on it.

Wow, what a pretty Hibiscus! I thought they only had one color of flowers on each plant. Oh that's great about making progress on your book. Today my 2 year old granddaughter is spending the day with me. We do this every 2 weeks.

I hope so. I think it would make a beautiful large bush with two different colors of blooms.
