What is MyLot?

I'm just thinking why this site called mylot. Does anyone here know? Usually, everything is connected to what's inside the site. Lot is storage. Does it mean this site is storage of our discussions?

I always assumed it was referring to people, friends, people you hang out with, from the British expression. "You lot", "that lot" etc. are expressions I often see in British books (such as Harry Potter). I was assuming this group of people is "my lot" meaning friends I like to hang out with.

I think as you discuss more and more it becomes a -lot. Hence my lot discussion shorten as myloot. And Denise have an awesome theory.
