Seriously. They Are Eggs

If you've ever spent time in a hospital or rehabilitation center chances are you've complained about the food. I still do outpatient physical therapy and occasionally hit the cafeteria to get a bagel with cream cheese or English muffin. I saw the sign that they had poached eggs on special so I ordered them. I honestly thought it was a joke when I lifted u the lid and saw these. They looked plastic and fake and there was no way I was going to attempt to eat them. No amunt of ketchup or sriracha could help these. I mean, were they even made from real eggs?
What's the worst food you've ever been served?

Most of the stuff they fed us in the field when I was in the Army. Seriously, some of the MRE's were better!

Thank you for my first morning laugh. Even if this is an "older" post. My most horrific gustatory disaster occurred at a bluegrass festival in Grass Valley CA. I ordered an "Italian beef" sandwich on Sunday, as the festival was shutting down. To cut to the chase, I spent Monday barfing my guts out. Apparently they had left the beef at a "make bacteria happy" temperature. I believe that I will recover from the trauma only when I go to Morrie's Deli on 55th Street in Chicago. It's where I discovered the joy of a good Italian beef sandwich.

Whenever we talk about hospitals we see things like this, do you know what the secret is? food made without love, when the food we consume has been prepared with care and enthusiasm then it looks great because they have taken care of all the details, but in a hospital it is simply a must and therefore they do not care

They look terrible! I got to think on this one so far so good as for food. I had a dream recently, and it was about food that I was disappointed in receiving after I bought it.

Oh my. That looks like rubber "play food" for a kitchen set for little girls. I'm not sure about the worst food served because I was lucky on my last hospital stay. The cafeteria there was pretty good. It has since changed hands, they do that bidding out for services at the end of contracts and got another company in. I haven't been impressed on last few visits when visiting other family members. Those eggs take the cake though. Bad, bad, bad.
