Prayer- are there any benefits?

I always pray and these are following I get when I pray: 1. Peace of mind. 2. Relief from sacrifices 3. Admission of guilt 4. Yearning to do more good 5. Enjoyment 6. Responsive to one's needs.

Mostly I pray when I feel really bad and when I can't stand the pain in myself.

I may not always get what I pray for so that is just a benefit for me to communicate with God best I can. Mostly I pray thankfully for another day.

I love to pray the rosary and it brings peace and comfort and reminds me how much I owe to the creator of us all.

Prayer- are there any benefits? Are there benefits to other forms of communication? Speech, thoughts, dreams, meditation? If so, why wouldn't there also be benefits to prayer? What are the benefits of prayers, why pray? God likes us to pray to him because it opens us up like a flower, so he can see us blooming with love in front of him, and also this is then shown to our self too. We know we bloom like this, shining with love, when we send love through prayer to God. Yes I do pray everyday and it really feels so good to pray... I pray for others, I pray for myself, my family and everyone and it's not about asking anything from God but actually about spending time with HIM, with my daddy-my love... prayer makes me feel great like anything and it takes away all my loneliness and Emptiness from within me and I feel so joyful and Happy inside when I pray

I agree with all these thoughts, and it is great to know that our God listens to our prayers himself and has not given this function to any of the angels - not even Jesus. We are supposed to pray in Jesus name, but not directly to him. We have a loving Father - his phone is never occupied..

I feel at peace when I pray. I pray when I'm happy, I pray when I'm depressed, I pray when I feel like talking to someone.

I do believe n prayer and I do think they are answered. I have gotten better with prayers over the year but could still use some improvement.

It's always comforting to be able to confide in a friend. Like a friend praying (talking) to God provides that comfort no matter what the topic. Who better to listen to what's on your mind than God?

I think prayer is a helpful because it is concentrating energy and we all all made of energy. Besides some things that seem out of our control are made better from prayer as it gives us peace, that we are doing all we can.

Prayer is an amazing blessing that our Father allows us to come to Him through! We get to speak to the Creator of everything and He loves us THAT much!! Isn't that mind blowing? It is to me!! I pray for others the most because I LOVE seeing my Father work in their lives-it makes Him so much more real to me and others! =)

Prayer helps me. I know God will answer in a way that he feels best and he is there listening to me. I can tell him anything. He already knows but he allows me to unload. I remember to thank him for rain, good things that happen and just a new day. Not just turn to him in trouble.

I think the first one really get my attention... Sometimes, praying helps lessening my burdens...
