Is it normal for a dentist to remove 4 teeth at once?

Today I went to the dentist. I have an abscess. I told her that I want to take antibiotics and then she can remove 2 of my teeth. She said that she can't negotiate and I am not at the market. But last time when she removed 4 teeth at once I was about to faint. I couldn't stand up. I couldn't breathe. I have anxiety and 4 teeth at once are too much for me. I feel the need to cry. Why is she like a stone?

Let's just trust that your dentist knows what is best for you. If not, you could always seek a second opinion and see other dentist.

@dya80dya If that's the case, then more so, why stay with that dentist? It may be difficult to find another one but I guess its not impossible. She isn't the only dentist in your place? I'm sure if you'd really want to find one, you will find one. Good luck then. I hope your dental problems get resolved the soonest.

@pitsipeahie I found another dentist who could receive me, but she is on vacation until January. I visited several dentists and they say that they can't receive me. The reason is that another dentist started dental work. They don't want to continue dental work started by another dentist. Thank you.

I can't find good dentists here. I don't trust this dentist. She is mean and she doesn't understand me.

Some dentists are mean and they don't have empathy. I was about to faint the last time she removed 4 teeth at once. This time I will call an ambulance is she insists. I think my health is more important than some teeth.

When my son was a teenager, he had four teeth pulled at once. He had some pain, but came through it fine.

I don't like that dentist. You need to talk and she decide about your teeth. Did you tried some natural things for teeth? Coconut oil and baking soda help me a lot.

Yes, I tried them. Unfortunately my teeth are very sick. The dentist told me that I can't do anything to save them.

@Moon24 Do you use coconut oil every day? I used it for my abscess, but it didn't work. How often do you use it?

I'm sorry to hear that. I don't understand how a dentist can be so harsh.

How was it after all? Did you get your tooth removed? Are you ok? You still panicked? But why did your teeth get removed? And how many do you have left in your mouth? How do you chew?

Not yet. My teeth will be removed when I will be prepared. I am not ok because I still have pain. I have temporary crowns and I can chew. I have teeth left. I had severe tooth decay.

I suppose that if you have that many bad teeth, they have to go - perhaps it is better to get everything done at once.

If all 4 teeth have rotten roots that is what is causing the infection in your mouth, no antibiotic can help that. and she knows you suffer with anxiety, she got rid of the problem once and not having you come back over and over. She did her job.

I will have to come back over and over anyway. 4 teeth at once is too much for me. I was about to faint last time when she removed 4 teeth at once. And my father fainted when the dentist removed 3 or 2 of his teeth. Since February I went to the dentist each week. I had so many appointments. The next week I will have 2 more.
