What happened to our hot weather? Has it cooled off where you live?

I was enjoying swimming, and getting my girlish figure back, but the weather turned cool here about three days ago, and I haven't been in the pool since Friday or so.
It's not cold--we're still hitting the 70s during the day--but it's not quite swimming weather.
Have things cooled off a bit where you live? Or have they warmed up a bit if you're "down under"?
It's supposed to hit about 78 F today. We'll see if that's warm enough for some pool action. The 90s are supposed to return later in the week.

98 with a 106 feels like heat index, toss in humidity and you have August in Alabama.

@TheHorse The water in my pool was like bath water yesterday. But then, it's only 3' across and 6" deep.

From May till August is rainy season here and it's when the temperature drops and we get too many typhoons. So it rains most of the time and swimming is just out of season.

Last week it was intensely raining, now it is super hot. But we are anticipating rains again this next few days because of typhoon.

@Spontaneo Swimming is good exercise for me. I suffer from chronic lower back pain, but I don't feel it when I'm in the water.

Still plenty hot here, but by Friday it will be cooler and the weekend should be good, unfortunately it comes at a price..rain will be about!

Yes, here it is Sept. 4, almost half a month after you posted this, and it's finally getting cooler. Today somebody said the word "fall". Hopefully it will stay. Sometimes we have hot summer weather all through September.

nope, it's hotter than ever right now, and humid as well. a dip in the pool sounds like a dream, though I feel that I'm sweating enough to fill a swimming pool ugh
