There's always a first time...

A couple of weeks ago, as some of you may already know, I went on a road trip with my friend. Driving back home takes 120km and since my friend is not familiar with the road, it was I who drove the car. We were in the middle of nowhere when I suddenly felt the urge to pee.
I told him to watch for signs on how many km the next gas filling station was and to check Waze how many km more before we reach the next city. I was already driving too fast but no buildings at sight and I couldn't hold it anymore.
He told me to pull over and just do it on the side of the road coz nobody's there anyway. At first I hesitated, but I could easily cover myself coz I was wearing a skirt anyway. And I was feeling so uncomfortable already and I couldn't hold it anymore.
So for the first time in my life ever, I relieved myself on the side of the road. And this is the kind of experience that I do record in my journal.

Oh yes and I didn't feel embarrass at all! My friend told me he will guard me anyway but when I was done, he was nowhere to be found. I saw him across the street taking pictures of the landscape.

I also experienced that when I travelled by aircon bus in going home to Bicol. The next bust station and gasoline station is stilll so far. But, i am really feeling that I have to pee.
So, i requested the driver to stop the bus and I peed on the roadside but nervouse since it is grassy.

@SIMPLYD I don't own an umbrella and I would never pee in public wearing pants without anything covering me!

several of us, old and young, had to do the same when our vehicle broke down along the expressway in one out-of-town trip when we were kids.

Even when I was a kid, I didn't take the public commute so I always tell my mom when I had to go and we would stop over at a gas station.

@toniganzon it was a family out-of-town trip. we were along slex for a long time, waiting for help, so eventually we felt the call of nature and just did the deed with umbrellas.

@JudyEv I can understand. At least there were big trees. We were on the high way and there were only rice fields. But fortunately I was wearing a skirt like I already mentioned so it was easy to just squat and cover myself.

sometimes, the call of nature makes us do what we do not want to do.
when i worked on night shift in the hospital, my co-worker had the urge to pee, and she used an umbrella to cover herself; then suddenly there was a strong wind. the umbrella flew and she turned her head away from the flashing headlight of the car approaching us. (we had to fetch the night duty nurse who resided near the hospital).

I was wearing a skirt so I decided to really do it right there and we had the car doors open. And fortunately not too many cars were passing by anyway.

So true. I had suffered from UTI before because I had a bad habit of holding my pee. And I don't want to wet my car seat. No no no!
