Today is Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day. It is to remember and celebrate the fur babies waiting for us at the Rainbow Bridge.
I thought of my Miss Annie and my childhood dog named Hiccups. There are others also who have brought joy to our lives and then left us.
Who is waiting there for you? What is your favorite memory of them?

@LovingMyBabies Ridgebacks are wonderful dogs. A friend had one since it was a pup. It was a rescue dog. It was really good-natured and a loving dog.

Rascal and Pip are waiting for me. Rascal was the epitome of his name. A pure rascal through and through. Pip would growl at people, and when I admonished her, she hung her head and smiled - I gotcha. She made me laugh as much as Rascal did.
The picture is Pip.

@akalinus I don't have pets. But a stray bull comes in front of our house every night.I feel he keeps waiting for me.Every night when I return home ,I find him standing or sitting there. On seeing me he moves towards me, and I give him something to eat - some rice or bread etc.He eats and leaves. If I am out of the town,he keeps sitting there and leaves in the morning.I feel he keeps waiting for me.

@akalinus Ask him.One reason,I think,is that I love cows and bulls and, perhaps,he knows it.We Hindus consider cows and bulls holy animals.

I have had so many lovely pets over the years, I am going to need a big house on the other side. The latest was my Beau and my Honey. both great dogs.

@akalinus Traveling down to our cottage, they would sleep in the car but as soon as we pulled onto our street both of them were up and excited. They just knew when we got there.

@BelleStarr Dogs are like that. Dogs also know when you are coming home. Even before your car rounds the corner, the dog knows you are coming. I don't know how, but they do.
