I have my night routines and although some have changed with mylot, mostly I do about the same since I live alone.
Now I mylot with the TV on (just in case there´s something I get interested in). I end my mylot day saying goodnight to all of you. It is a sort of wrap of the day.
Then, if nothing very good is on TV, I take whatever book I´m reading and read a few pages. Now I´m rereading a book by Jorge Amado, the Brazilian author.
Before mylot I read a lot more. Even with the TV in my bedroom, when my husband was alive he watched TV while I read. Part of it was because he was in charge of the remote control. How about you?

It depends on what I am watching. Currently, I am into CSI Las Vegas and if I watch until I get tired then I go to bed and just go to sleep. However, I watching something does not keep my attention then I go to bed and read for about an hour or so.

@velvet53 Once, many years ago, I even forgot that I had children. I was reading 100 years of solitude and suddenly I looked at my watch and it was way past the girl´s lunch and I had done nothing.

Why is it that the men think they *have to be* in charge of the remote?? Mine is the same way and oh when the batteries start to get weak it is like a major disaster until new batteries are put in.
I like to read before bed too. I usually turn the computer off and then read until my eyes droop.

The name of the book must be something like "How the Turks discovered America". This is my translation of the title; I am reading it in Spanish.

@marguicha ok, thanks, it must be interesting how they did it. I mean, before anyone had known about other continents, they needed a lot of courage to sail far to the unknown...

I don't need to read to make myself sleepy just before going to bed. Instead, I practically always get sleepy just before 9 pm anyway. Then at nine, I go to bed.
Sometimes I'll listen to music after I go to bed. Then, I sometimes wake up at two in the morning and find that my radio is still on.

@LadyDuck I often say that it is good that many of my books have been stolen by my closest friends. If not, I would have had to go to a bigger house

My TV Arial broke last winter in stormy weather. I am planning to get a new one fitted soon as I still pay for a TV licence. In my lounge I have a lot of books. I often take a book from there to read in my bedroom. I have to bring them back into my lounge. I sometimes watch TV programs on my laptop.

I have been away from reading since last few months, owing to many reasons. But I plan to resume book and novel(s) reading in the coming months.
So how is the weather now in your place?
