Every year at Christmas, the world famous department store Harrods brings out a new Teddy Bear. Many teddy bear collectors go out especially to buy these bears every time a new one comes out.
They are lovely cuddly bears, and each year the new bear will have a new costume. I was once lucky enough to have found four of these bears for sale in my local charity shop. The dates ranged from 1999 to 2003 and I fell in love with them as soon as I saw them sitting on the shelf. People tell me that I should sell these bears and try to make some money on them, but I don`t think I could sell them because they are not in their original boxes . Most serious collectors will only buy bears if they are still in their original packaging.

Did you go to Harrods very often? I have only been there once , and that was about twenty years ago. It took us ages to look around the shop and we spent most of our time in the perfume department trying out the perfumes. I came home with several miniature bottles of perfume that they were giving away as samples . I still have these unopened as part of my perfume bottle collection.

@TiarasOceanView Did you buy anything while you were there, I found it to be a very expensive shop. But I did buy a carrier bag with the Harrods name on it so that I could show people that I had been there.

that seems like a very fluffy teddy bear, selling them is a good thing, but keeping them gives you a memory of your childhood.

Yes, that is right, I did have a similar sort of teddy when I was a child (although it did not come from Harrods). My old teddy was lovely and fluffy and when I turned him upside down he growled. I do not remember if he had a name or not but the bear in the picture is called Joshua.

@TheGreater These bears are not part of my childhood memories because I brought them in a charity shop about two years ago. So if I did sell them, I would not be upset about losing them. However I do remember my childhood bear but I cannot remember what happened to him. He may have got lost when I moved house as a child.

He does look very cute and cuddly. His clothes look very warm , but I think his ears may get cold.

It is a lovely Teddy . I like the way that they have made his ears stick out of his woolly hat. His jumper looks nice and cosy though.
