Comic Book Day / myLot

I have just found out that September 25 is Comic Book Day and I wondered what this means. Obviously it is something to do with collecting comic books, but what is supposed to happen on this day , I do not know as I had never heard of this before. Do any of you take part in Comic Book Day ? If you do could you enlighten me on what you do to celebrate it.
