what is the purpose of our life ?

1. make merry and die like a dog ?
2. beleive in heaven and hell and follow scripture's injunction?
3. try to find the meaning of our existence from guru's,sifu's,ulama's,etc
4. try to be illuminated like Buddha
???? what do you think we are here for ?

i would have thought all the people that debate religion would certainly have flooded this question--where are they now-probably fighting the homosexuals or some out of wedlock mother--we each have to decide what the purpose of our life is---you did not ask what is the purpose of life (which of course ifyou could answer to satisfy everyone would win you a nnobel peace prize) but rather what is the purpose of each individuals life---for me my purpose changes-some days it may be to save someone elses life or just to get thru the day ---i really dont have a global lifelong purpose of my life--maybe we are simply living organisms playing a part and we simply die when it is time
