Very rarely I take my breakfast out of home, but today I was in a rush and I brought my breakfast with me and bought a coffee in the coffee machine at work. I was surprised because finally, they changed the plastic cups from the ones in cardboard that you can see in the picture. Some things are changing for better and I am glad that now more people are aware of the importance of avoid plastic at all costs. Do you notice changes in the use of plastic in your country?

That is an interesting idea. (Hospitals banning plastic bottles) and our community has banned plastic bags at the grocery stores. --- I believe that ban needs to extend to every retail outlet.

@Alexandoy that is right, people didn't use plastic the correct way, people abuse it and polluted all the world with it. It is not plastic fault, it is our fault!

@nela13 Yes and people have to pay for them. I got mine before they started to charge us and paid for some things too and so bring my own and put my groceries in mine. Once in a blue moon if somewhere and do not have my bags then buy one.

@Hannihar Exactly like here, before they always give plastic bags but now if we don't have our own we must pay for it. It is a way to decrease the use of plastic.

I have noticed shops charge for plastic bags. Most people bring their own shopping bags with them. I have some made from jute which I use. Plastic drinking straws aren't available anymore. My daughter has some metal straws.I have used paper straws with some of my drinks.

Is that a paper cup?i think the paper cup will waste a lot of the wood, and it will break the balance of the natural environment.i prefer loving the plastic cup,it's very solid and cheap

Living near the pacific coast of the US, I am happy to see anything that reduces plastics in the environment. Our community has just passed ordinances that ban plastic bags and plastic straws. I find it so disheartening to be driving down on the road and see a plastic bag floating in the air because some idiot did not properly dispose of it. Those bags can look just like squids underwater, that makes them look like food to the creatures that eat squid, whales and turtles to name a couple.

It is disheartening seeing what people did to the oceans due to the bad use of plastic. For some people, it is better just don't have access to plastic because they don't recycle and throw in nature.
