Too Late for Tea?

Granted, it's just after 10am here in not so sunny Oahu, Hawaii and I am thinking of having some tea. Thing is, I'm pretty sensitive to caffeine and never know when should be my cut off point each day. Is it weird that I also take an adrenal support supplement as well? (did I just say that?) See, it's like this. I love tea (and coffee too) and the choices are just endless. How do they decaffeinate tea anyway and what choices would there be if I were to find some? But alas, I have a "ton" of tea in bags, boxes and other sundry containers sitting around my house. And this one looks (and is) so good with a little bit of sweetener and some cream. I use Stevia. And I make a full pot using only one tea bag afterall! (Do I hear someone laughing??) Surely, it couldn't hurt. I will look into decaffeinated after my supply here is gone...

My grandmother used to drank a cup of hot tea in the morning. I have always liked my iced tea. That's how a lot of people drank it in the South, we even drank it with our meals, well heck about anytime is a good time for ice tea! ????

Glad you joined us on myLot. I went to my last two years of high school at Castle High in Kaneohe. That was a hundred years ago, lol, so I know a lot has changed there. Have you always lived on Ohau?

I was here on mylot a couple of years ago and I also recognize @just4him Valerie J. Routhieaux from our Bubblews days. Hopefully I will spend a lot of time here as it is fun.
We have lived on Oahu off and on for about a total of 15 years. We were getting set to move back to SoCal but the job offer there is less money than what my hubby has here. And SoCal is getting even more expensive and seems to now surpass here except in groceries. So at this point, we are staying put and do enjoy it for the most part. Two of our 3 children (all girls) live in San Diego - while the oldest is just a street away from us here. We're in Waialua but have also lived in Ewa, Kailua, and Kaneohe

@WriterRuth That's so cool! I lived in Kaneohe with my parents, then in Nanakuli after I got married. We moved back to NC after my husband got out of the Navy.

@1creekgirl We did not move here for the Navy (though hubby spent 4 years) He just always had a dream of living here (for me it was Oregon but I have since rethought that, lol) After moving here, we are finding it cheaper and easier in many ways than our home state. We both grew up in California.

I drink nothing but herbal and decaf tea in the evening.
Not so sunny? I don’t think I remember a cloudy day (the entire day) the whole time I was stationed there!

@WriterRuth — that little monster would eat or drink anything I gave her!
The weather forecast was always the same: windward and Mauka showers, high 88, low 72. They said the Hawaiian language doesn’t have a word for “weather.” No can believe it.

I didn't know that dogs drank tea.
But seriously, yes, it is usually blue skies and sunny. There was one November when it was gray and cloudy the entire month. We lived in Ewa then. We had relatives visit for about a week and they asked if that was normal, to which we said "No!" lol Then there was a time a few years back where it literally rained 40 days and 40 nights. I think it was more on the Ewa side if I recall correctly, which was highly unusual, being the drier side as you probably know

I visited England over 30 years ago and that is when I learned that they put milk in their tea. I had not realized that before. lol I started doing that then and have been doing it ever since and really enjoy it. I actually use cream. yum

@writerRuth It’s Earl Grey for me every time, occasionally with a slice of lemon.

I've gone through different phases. There was the Earl Grey phase, the Constant Comment phase and the Hawaiian Island Tea Company phase. Currently it is PG Tips. I bought two large boxes on Amazon and am still working my way through the first. Good thing I like it. I also have several herb teas on hand.

I love tea. There are many naturally decaffeinated teas. I think it depends on when they pick the leaves. That's what I gather looking at the boxes.
I use Stevia too. It's not often I make a pot of tea. It sounds like a good idea.
