Leaf Peepers

This is the weekend for leaf peepers in our section of the United States - New England. I live in Connecticut, the most southern part of New England.
It is also a Federal holiday for most states. We celebrate Columbus Day and have a 3 day weekend.
The photo is from our backyard woods. Although we still have many green trees, our trees are beginning to turn glorious colors. We can be leaf peepers right here.
On our way to dinner with our friends last night to the middle of our state, we enjoyed the beauty of fall and a gorgeous moon, too.

The leaves have started to change color, I love Fall.

We do, but this year due to the lack of rain I don't think the colors are going to be good. A good 80 percent of the leaves here are still green..due to the warm temps.

This is a beautiful photo-we barely experience it here. Lol. And it comes very late when it does happen! I absolutely LOVE the Fall though!!

Not yet, just a few of the sweet gum trees are turning, being in a drought some have just dried up and fell off.

It's already too cold. The 50s require a jacket; and I like to be able to just walk outside without one. Nooo s**w!

Yes are leaves are changing colour and some are already falling. I do not like this time of the year to be honest because I know it will mean darker evenings and mornings and winter is around the corner!

I am getting all confused now I forgot about Columbus Day and it is odd to think that our Columbus Day in the US is the same day as Thanksgiving in Canada. Still all green here in Florida I almost feel like I am living on the Emerald Isle
