Grapes: Red, Purple or Green?

Grapes are one of my favorite fruits. They are available all year round and come in three different colors; red, purple and green. Most stores here in the south stock red and green grapes all year long. Every now and then you will see red grapes in stock. I like them all. They all have different flavors and intensities. I guess it just depends on the mood I am in as to which color or kind of grape I would want. Do you have a favorite grape? And why? Photo credit: Pixabay, public domain

Grapes are very rear in our country. We can only have them during Christmas season. They are imported from other countries. And they're usually red and purple. I do love grapes.

@kareng I have had purple and green when I ate grapes. Something happened that they did not agree with me so do not eat them anymore.

That is a good reason to avoid them now. I don't blame you.

They are expensive here in off-season. Do they grow well there? You might try to grow your own if so.

The red grapes generally are a better bet for sweetness than the green ones when I buy them. My favorite grape is a home grown grape.

The sweetness is always a chance thing now. Everything is picked so early and shipped everywhere. I hate when I get a good sweet batch, go back a few days later and get more and they are as sour as some of that sour candy on the market that will make your hair stand up and your eyes pop out.

Those are hard to find in our area. However, the photo did inspire the post/discussion. And yes, I did forget about black grapes until I started reading all the responses. You got me, guilty!!

Green were the only kind my mom ever bought. I agree with seed free. Those seed can be really annoying.
