I actually don't mind it. Every once in a while a little fast food is good.

@rebelann Most of the time I just buy the Kroger store brand, but I am sure I have had Rosarita before. The can looks extremely familiar.

I tend to always buy cans of refried beans. Call me lazy. lol

@porwest I think KFC is popular here in Germany. We have one in our city.

Europe is a place I am not sure Yum! Brands, who owns Taco Bell, have expanded to. Interestingly enough, KFC is more popular in China than it is in the United States. Go figure. lol

@porwest I read reports about all this same stuff in grocery stores and sit down restaurants. I try to grow as much of our own food as possible, but sometimes, for convenience, I have to buy from grocery stores.

I think many people buy too much into some of these "reports" on various ingredients used by certain companies. Most food is processed, no matter what it is, that is prepackaged, and I often wonder why no one asks what's in those things? Or how they are made? Most store bought imitation crab meat, chicken nuggets, fish sticks, Salisbury steak, even frozen pizzas and lasagnas. Take sausage on a frozen pizza for example. It is meat that comes in a long thick tube as one massive glob, that gets processed through a crumbler and fed up through an auger into a bin that then feeds the meat onto the pizzas as they pass by on flex belts. The augers are "scooped" often, and fed back into the crumbler to reuse throughout the production process. I worked for many years in the food industry, having worked for Kraft Foods, Nestlé, and Coca-Cola. There are things people would not enjoy to see when it comes to most things. lol BUT, the reality is that there is nothing wrong with the final product produced even if how we get there seems a little more than gross. No one ever picks on anyone else but the fast food chains. It puzzles me sometimes. Because the things happening in production facilities of processed foods is way more disturbing on the inside than people would ever care to know.

@gnatsmom I just think people look for reasons to complain about things and find justification for not doing other certain things. The thing I look at is, our life spans are ADVANCING. Not declining. When I was growing up a man who was 50 years old looked like he was 80. Now a 50 year old guy looks like he's 35 or 40. People lived to their 70s. Now they live well into their 90s. If all the stuff we have now is so bad... How come we are healthier and living longer? lol

@porwest My husband does not like to go there often! They should prescribe dinner at Taco Bell before colonocopys!!

You know, whenever I go to Taco Bell, I sort of expect the next day to be...interesting. A recall would make me a bit more weary of what I might expect. lol

I am not sure most people would really consider Taco Bell Mexican food. I mean, it's close. But when I think of Mexican food I generally don't think of Taco Bell.

I would much rather have food at a Mexican restaurant. But it's not in the cards tonight.

@porwest I like Taco Bell most of the time, but my lunch was yummy today.

@1creekgirl I paid for it the next day. Amazing the laxative effects of Taco Bell. Ugh.

It was actually tasty, although it tore me up the next day.

Taco Hell is a very accurate moniker for the place. But from time to time I am up for a little hell, I guess. lol

Those quesadillas continue to be something I get every time I go. They're just good. A bit pricey these days, though.

@porwest I would too....although now they have a chicken enchilada burrito that is pretty good, if you take out the rice lol. Aren't the quesadillas one of the most expensive menu items?

My fridge has a few echoes lately. I must have raided mine too much recently. lol

Hmm. You know, if Aussie's can produce a famous country music star, you'd think they'd be able to have a few Mexicans around to open up a few more restaurants. lol
