I have just come across with them awhile ago while I was reading about the article why people want to eat when they're slept deprived or couldn't sleep.
Dr. Raj Dasgupta, a sleep specialist points out and explains that there are two hormones that control the people's desire to eat.
She says one is Leptin which is a hormone that prevent the people's urge to eat. Thus, they reduce weight.
The other one is Ghrelin, she says.It is another hormone that increases the people's hunger to eat and gains more weight.
What's the difference? Leptin loses weight. Ghrelin gains weight.

Even some "junk foods" may have some healthy spices

That's weird. Junk foods are empty foods. They're not nutritious.

@buenavida Are you not sure of it? It's junk for it has no nutritious value. It's useless.

Interesting! I seem to crave the junk food late at night. I have no problem during the day.

Thanks. I know that you're conscious of your food intakes. It's good to eat less at night. That's what I know.
