Vince's Pope shoes

Vince washed two pairs of his Nike sneakers today. We wouldn’t normally buy such expensive shoes but our son assured us they’re worth the money so to keep him happy we each have several pairs of Nikes now.
Vince calls these his Pope shoes as the Pope wears red slippers. These are very light and very comfortable. They’re also very bright! If someone comments on his sneakers, Vince’s stock answer is ‘Well, I said to myself, if they’re good enough for Frank, they’re good enough for me’. Somehow, he always manages to come up with great answers.

They do look like they are comfortable shoes. That is not always easy to find, no matter how much you pay for a pair of shoes.

@whiteream I'm sure you would find it hard to find suitable shoes. Do you wear crocs at all? They seem to be quite accommodating of different shaped/size feet.

@JudyEv I have to be careful because my feet are two different sizes and they are shaped differently. Many shoes I try hurt my feet. I live in sneakers.;

@1hopefulman It takes some a few seconds to catch on. They're not used to the pope being called 'Frank'.

Hahaha I would probably have nicknamed them Popes shoes too. But if you have a red pair we would call them Dorothy shoes!

@crazyhorseladycx Mostly, especially with household items, it seems built-in obsolescence is the norm.

No, you don't have to worry about losing him somewhere. I bought an expensive pair of Nike's back about 20 years ago, and I still have them..I don't wear them really...as they are kind of battered..but the soles are super thiick on them..you could probably walk cross country with them.

@JudyEv I wouldn't mind if the Pope wore sneakers. There is an Air Max custom made sneaker that had holy water in it.
I'll look it up and post the link here.

I always invest in a good pair, you need your feet and they need to be comfortable.
They are the color of the womens Pumas, I am saving up for on Amazon I plan to get mine with gift cards.

@JudyEv I put them on my wish list, I will check on color more when time, comes, I think they were a deep red, but don't really look that red.
