Has an Uber Eats driver ever told you to give them a good rating?

Yesterday night my brother and I ordered some Ice Cream from Baskin Robbins. When the dude came to my door and handed me the bag, he quickly said to me "Give me a Like and a good rating." I smiled and said "Have a good night."
I know why people say this but it makes me feel awkward because I'm not really one of those people to just give a good rating or a "Like" just because it was asked of me. To me, it has to be earned first.
I know it's not the same thing but it's why I left Instagram. I was sick to death of all the comments and messages asking me to Like their photo and they will Like mine or asking me to follow them and they will follow me. I personally don't understand this obsession with Likes or having a huge following. I know it's because they want to be well known and possibly famous but going around spending all your time asking for it? How about earn it!
And same goes for Uber Eats drivers. I will Like their service and leave a good rating IF they actually deserve it. I've had about 3 or 4 people telling me to do this and without sounding like a biatch, but I just can't. I can't leave a good rating if I don't believe they deserve it because to me that is lying to myself and lying to those who are using this service too.
What about you? Are you ok with just giving them what they want because they asked / told you to?

We do not have any Uber eats here. We have to drive over a half hour to any place that would use them. Pretty cost prohibitive.

@snowy22315 I was actually wondering if there were any places out there with no Uber Eats so that has answered my question and makes sense why it's not around your area. I'm sorry it can't take place where you live!

I give my rating based on the kind of service. And not because someone has asked for. I have not come across that situation. But yes a few times these can drivers have asked me not to forget to give a rating or feedback. So it's just like a reminder and not a request. That is okay.

@VivaLaDani13 Yes. A lot of their incentives and perks depends on that. And many of us don't take reviews seriously and forget about it. So it's fair if they remind us.

@tech40 I'm sorry you had that bad experience. And this is why I reckon people need to decide for themselves whether they want to give positive feedback rather than do it just because the delivery driver asked their customers.

@LadyDuck Me too! I also hate it when people say that here too. Probably only happened about 5 times but hate it. Like I said, it's like people are obsessed with Likes and Follows. Especially the more younger people. It's as if it's a huge achievement to them or something.

@VivaLaDani13 But one thing i`m really do is that every time i will not giving the best rate .. if the best rate is 10 then i will giving 8 because that will help them to improve as every time

I haven't tried Uber Eats yet as they don't have many options for my area. Neither does Swiggy. I use Zomato and their delivery guys don't ask for good rating. They do ask for rating as people tend to be lazy and forgetful about rating whether good or bad.
However, one time this delivery guy asked for my phone to check the Zomato app telling me to update it which was fine but what I didn't appreciate was that he took it upon himself to do the rating for the order he just delivered. I haven't ordered again from that particular place.

@VivaLaDani13 I think your like/rating may help him. Good rating gives him good profile among others... Good profile gets him earn more. More earn makes him happy.
So basically you are indirectly helping him to lifting up his professional standard.

@_robin I know what the rating system is for. But what I'm saying is, he wasn't giving out good customer service anyway so it wouldn't be truthful of me to give him a good rating when he didn't deserve it. And he shouldn't be asking his customers to give him a good rating. He needs to earn it respectfully and truthfully.

No, but I might give a good rating if they do not do anything to deserve a bad one. He could at least say "please".I wonder if he ever thought of doing a little extra to deserve those good ratings?

@andriaperry I will just copy and paste what I told Valerie ( saves me typing it out again ) as she asked me a similar question.
For this guy in particular he was late. But what makes it bad is that his car was sitting outside my house for about 10 minutes ( I didn't know it was our Uber Eats Driver until I saw him walking to my house ) but he was on the phone talking to someone. I thought it was just some random stopping the car to use his phone. But turns out it was the driver just chatting away. He also came to my door walking slowly still talking and laughing to the person on the phone and never said hello or anything to me except "Give me a Like and a good rating." No hello or goodbye or anything. Just that and went back to talking to whoever was on the phone. And considering there was ice cream in those bags, that's what annoyed me.
