My Tree is Turning Gold

I have the notifications finished and it's time to leave you for today. I thought I would share a picture of my tree. It's almost fully gold now. We're almost at peak for fall color. Soon all those leaves will be on the ground and winter will be here in all her wondrous glory.
It's been a good day. I finally got my daughter's e-mail address by way of FB even though she hasn't friended me. It was the only place I could get a message to her with my phone dead. It's currently sitting in a box of rice.
I hope your day has gone well or will go well if you are beginning a new day. I'm going to find something to eat and work on a book for a little while and then take myself out to my recliner and the massage pad. With all the walking and stair climbing I did today my back and knees are screaming at me.

I have a great mix of oaks, pines and magnolia trees on my property, and none of them really change color in the fall, but I do have a maple in my front yard that does. It is currently changing to a nice golden color.

@just4him Our oaks do change color....from green straight to brown. They'll drop their leaves in January/February. There may be some varieties of oak that change color, but I haven't seen them around here.

i'd lots 'f gold leaves'n the redbud, but the high winds'n snow took care 'f most 'f those, lol. the trees'n the back're still mostly green.
hope that rice gets the moisture out'ta yer phone, hon. jest be patient'n don't rush 't. tried 'xplainin' that to my sweet momma some years 'go 'n she didn't listen. told me she didn't use 't, someone called'n she answered. sigh...
been a long day here. thankful the eldest son came out though'n helped unload the rest 'f the wood pellets. i'm not too ol' fer that sorta thingy, but that crohn's flare wiped out my muscles quickly 'n i'm kind'a wimpy 't the moment.

@just4him oh, he tried to do a bit 'f helpin'. with his shoulder such 'twas not wise. he's like a spoiled teenager, 'lways tryin' to prove me wrong, causin' more troubles then 'twas started with. i helped the son, he 'twas'n the topside, handin' bags down. i'd put'em there'n the tailgate, then 'nto the wheelbarrow. 't least with this load, i'd 'lready cleared a path fer such...
hmm, did'ja take out the battery, run'n eraser o'er the contacts? ya might give such a try'n then put't to charge. so saddened 'f the news 'f his momma's passin'. most kind to offer ya the phone. hopefully such'll be soon.

@crazyhorseladycx I can't get the back off and if I remember correctly, it came the way it is now, already set up and ready to use.
Guys never reckon on their restrictions and try to prove they know better than the doctors. It's good he even offered though.

I should have a new phone soon. My pastor offered me one, so we'll see how it all works. I got an e-mail with instructions.
I'm sorry the wind and snow took most of your leaves. I saw one of yours that's gorgeous. I'm glad your oldest helped you unload wood pellets.

Hope your phone works after hanging out with rice! We tried that with my husband's phone without success.
We did quite a bit of walking today. My knees are not happy with me either! I am resting for a bit before I head to the kitchen.

@just4him so nice that your pastor is gifting you a phone. I doubt that the damaged one is going to make it! LOL.
The knees feel better today. Thankful for that. I have to do housework today so not too much walking!

We also get to chat with our daughter , who works and specializes in surgery in a posh hospital in Manila
a city very far from our residence through Messenger. she would call us through it and get to talk with each of the 3 of us.
The picture is a nice one - gold leaves. Beautiful.

How much is too much? We have snow in the forecast for Tuesday, and it looks like we're going to get it too. It's not supposed to go around us. We're also getting it on Halloween. Call me sadistic but I always pray for snow on the pumpkin.
