Much of my time is living in a digital world. I work from home remotely. I count on my computer and my phone system to keep me in touch with corporate and clients. Most of what I would consider co-workers I have never met in person. It is very different from the way I was raised. I wonder how many people live as digitally as I.

For some, traditional work or social environments can be a major stressor, so they may find the digital world preferable often times. With that said, nobody should spend ALL their awake time online, that is unhealthy.

Humm, I think it's a balance - people can hurt you anywhere in one way or another

Perhaps for some. I think it can be a balancing act.

I have worked outside of my home most of the time and now I want to work at home online and am having a hard time because want to work in English and it is hard to find online things that come here in English.

i am virtual about 1/2 the time, I do go to the office 2-3 days a week depending on in-person versus remote meetings. It can be hard sometimes.

did you ever imagine that you would end up work digitally and remotely? do you like working online now than working offline?

I think a lot of us do. I have never met any of my MyLot friends, yet I look forward to chatting with them every evening. I DO work directly with children and college students, and I enjoy that. But even those worlds are becoming increasingly digitized. Some preschool teachers play recorded versions of books rather than reading to children. And college students are becoming increasingly used to "power point" lectures.

It is the same with me. When I am at work I work on a computer and I also spend some of my free time online.

I wish I could also have a home based job like yours.
