one day

My world is full of mahoosive puddles this wet morning. I wish I were a child so that I could spend my day splishing and sploshing and splashing in them, whilst wearing cute little Wellington boots ... But alas. I am an adult, so instead I must grumble about the weather instead of enjoying it. My bus was twenty-five minutes late, so I had to listen to inane, and somewhat insane, conversations at the bus stop. Upon his arrival, four wet women and two damp schoolgirls jumped on. When the bus started moving one woman jumped up. She'd left her lunch bag on the bus stop bench, which wouldn't necessarily matter, but she had her house keys and her work lanyard in it. She apologised profusely to the other three damp women, and the two wet schoolgirls, for the extra couple of minutes she added to their journey. That particular wet woman was me. Big puddles, late buses and nearly-lost lunches. And it's still not even half-past seven. I wonder what other delights the day has in store for me!

@Poppylicious I am sorry you cannot go back to being that kid that liked puddles. I hope you have a very good day.

@poppylicious I’m so glad that you used the word mahoosive I’ve been waiting to do so myself for quite some time but the opportunity never presented itself. Now that you have obliged I don’t need to.

Have to say that I don't let age stand in my way when it comes to splooshing through puddles 1
