Do food displays ever change your mind?

A big yes for me! Especially if they look as good as the picture above. It’s outside a rolling sushi restaurant which I was passing by. My mouth was instantly salivating, appetite growing, and before I knew it, I was inside the shop, like in a trance or something. Lol. However if the food display is blah, like the owner put it there just because, I can suppress my cravings. And it helps my pocket too.
How about you? Do food displays look this good in your country?

The last time I succumbed to those cravings was when I saw a fast food restaurant a hamburger. I went in and bought the worst hamburger ever.

Lucky me there are no big food displays around here just very many fast food places and if I stay away from them I am alright, That food in the photo does look good.

I will make my meal choices based on food displays. Sometimes it makes it easier to make a choice. I just tell the waiter or waitress, "I'll have what's on display!"

@sol_cee I like just about every type of food, so I usually don't have specific preferences, so it makes it easier to just point to a photo on the menu or a display in the case and tell them that's what I want.

Yes! Food displays can really change my mind. Hihihi Most of the time, they attract me.
That display looks so good but are those uncooked? That could also change my mind. Hihihi

With such displays in your photo; no one can resist going in and trying those sushi rolls!

Sometimes if the display is not that great but if you are a frequent customer and you have foreknowledge of the taste you can order safely. If it's a new place, yes, the display affects my choices. I can be tempted.I have never tried sushi.

I love the good displays and smells at the deli department when I get in the store. But sushi would not tempt me. yuck

I have never tried sushi but I am curious about it. Some food displays here, especially bakeries are quite tempting.

Oh yes, how nicely the food is displayed makes a difference for me, too. Have you tried each of those? I admit I tried sushi, I really did try to like it. It's not for me though

No, they don't. The sushi in my country comes in plastic containers! And they are always higgldey piggldey all over the supermarket shelf!
