Clothing Styles That Make You Cringe

What fashion trends are so outdated they will never come back into style? At least we hope not!
Here are a few "what was I thinking" fashion styles I found. See if you agree with me...
1. UGGS- In the early 2000's they were popular worn with short skirts. KInd of defeated the purpose of wearing something warm in winter?
2. FUR COATS- a no-no in today's society. Especially among animal rights groups. In fact San Francisco baned selling them.
3. HAWAIIAN SHIRTS- I still have a couple of these? Are they really only acceptable in Hawaii and Florida?
4. PONCHOS- worn with jeans as a one-size fits all item and very trendy around 2004.
5. BODY GLITTER- a great style for an Elf maybe.
6. LOW RISE JEANS- unless your on a perpetual diet a hard look to pull off.
7. TIE-DYE SHIRTS- a return to the LSD period perhaps?
8. PLASTIC HEELED SHOES- kind of reminds me of John Travolta in "Saturday Night Fever." "Stayin Alive" I think not.
Would you still go stylin' in any of these fashion outfits/accessories today? Was there any outdated fashion styles you really enjoyed wearing when they were popular? Can you think of any others I missed?

I'd love to see a photo of you in your Hawaiian shirt :-)
I love body glitter and tie dye lol
I think pantsuits only look decent on the super thin … along with crop tops

@dgobucks226 lol. I tried.
I personally love Crocs. I'm not big on the clogs style, but I practically live in the sandals in summer. I didn't know how they started out though. Thanks. Do you like them?
Ooo I admit I have been guilty of jeans and jean jacket before...

@FayeHazel I'm more of a sandals wearer or flip flops. Maybe not in fashion anymore but many still like the convenience of wearing them.

No photos of Hawaiian shirts sorry... How about Crocs. They were originally designed for boating but became acceptable as street wear. Or Denim Formal wear... matching denim top with jeans on bottom.

@dgobucks226 I cannot stand crocs I did not even buy to use in the garden. What are Peasant Tops? I have never followed the fashion trends, I am a bit picky about my clothing and I like to dress elegant.

@LadyDuck Then you would not like peasant tops either. Here is one example of the styles but they do vary.

@dgobucks226 We both have crocs. We liked them when we were touring with our motor home or caravan and sometimes wore them in the showers if we were worried about cleaniness. You see them everywhere here.

Yes, Ugg boots in winter makes good sense. How about Crocs? They were originally designed for boating but became acceptable as street wear.

@JudyEv Yes, they are still around in the U.S. Maybe not in fashion anymore but many still like the convenience of wearing them.

I think Hawaiian shirts are something else. I remember tie die shirts. I cannot think of any others right now.

It looks that way. I look at it this way. I wear what makes me feel comfortable and looks good on me whether in style or was in style or not.

It's funny, I still young people wearing tie dye shirts. In Florida, when I visit, I also see them and some restaurant employees also wear them as part of their work outfit. So I guess they are still fashionable in some way.

Tie dye isn’t bad, although I’d never wear it.
Bell bottoms. Go-go boots. And let’s not talk about hairstyles.......

@dgobucks226 Oh yes, I wore peasant tops. I wear something similar to crocs for gardening now, but never wore the originals. They were ugly.

Or Peasant Tops- a big trend in 2003 but today?
And then there are Zebra Prints- a big 80's fashion trend.

Yes, good one and then the Midi. Butterfly Clips was another popular fashion item to better keep hair off your face.
