Maybe other people have seen these little signs in their hotels. I have never seen one and it tickled me. What a clever way to say "don't steal!" I do not know if it works, but hopefully it makes people think about it. I love this idea. Have you seen one or anything similar? What do you think?

This is a great idea. I don't know why people think it okay to take these items from their hotel rooms. I have to admit I sometimes take the guest soaps and shampoos, not that I stay in hotels too often.

I think those are okay to take but a comforter? I mean who does that and why would they think it is okay??

@mom210 It's plain and simple, outright stealing in my book.

We stay in hotels frequently, and I’ve never seen anything like that. Who on earth would ever want to take those items? I have seen bottled water for sale in the US, but gratis in foreign countries. Robes can also be bought. I think it’s a little subtle hint that they’re not for keeping. lol

I have no idea, I mean I guess I could see something forgetting and taking home the hair dryer, but the radio, coffee maker, or comforter? How do you accidentally take those?

@DianneN I am cheap but would never do that, so I vote for... they are thieves

@mom210 I can’t see any of those items being “accidentally” taken home unless one is a complete moron. People are either thieves or cheap.

I have seen notices similar to the one you posted. It is needed in these days and times. It's sad to think that someone thinks it is okay to take things that are not theirs.

I have never seen one but I do know that my brother and sister in law had a motel and people stole all sorts of things from the rooms.

@BelleStarr what a shame, I know they know better too. People don't think past themselves. These are businesses and things like that add to their overhead and decrease their profits.

and kind of humerus too. I mean those prices re a bit pricey you can go buy nicer things for those prices and let them keep theirs.

I don't know why anyone would want to help themselves to anything in a hotel room, they have all been used and by strangers at that! The sign is a smart thought and should get the point across.

@mom210 I only take the little soaps that are there to be used, I would never take towels, blankets or other stuff.

we end up in one from time to time because our kids compete in various things. I found the sign very entertaining though.

A PC approach to those who permanently borrow hotel items. Never seen a sign like that. I bet the guest would have a heck of a time sneaking an ironing board out of the hotel
