The magic of nature

Early this morning at 6, I took some photos of the small vegetable garden we have. The capsicums were bearing fruit and the tomatoe was not to be outdone, it also caught up with its own fruit. At 7, when my older daughter went out of the front door, she called me and pointed to the buds of the alstromeria (lily of the incas) which I transplanted more than a couple of weeks ago. At 6PM, when I went out with my younger daughter’s baby, I was amazed that in just 11 hours the buds have bloomed into flowers. Ahhh the magic of nature!

Some flowers bloom in a very short lapse of time. I like the flowers in the photo.

I know the alstromeria and this is a very pretty shade. My mother used to call them 'Alice and Mary' too but I haven't heard it called 'lily of the incas'.

Is the picture alstromenia? I never saw it, it looks a bit like orchid. When I was a kid I lived in a small village, where neighbors usually plant some flowers in their back yard. Now I live in a city, it's hard to see any flower around.

I agree with you , Ms. Arunima. Whatever we plant that gives fruit or flower indeed gives us joy.

@CarolDM I find it difficult to take sunset shots. Probably because my camera is not DSLR and taking photos is just a hobby for me.

You just experienced nature at ones of it's best. That is why we should take good care of what Nature has for us.
