December 7th - What I'm Thankful for Today

Today was a good day. I got a lot of notifications caught up this morning before I left for my son's and laundry. I ended up being there for four hours. Two hours longer than I normally am.
So, the first thing I'm thankful for is the time I spent with my son. He's playing the Star Wars video game storyline. He said when he started it a couple of weeks ago that if I'm going to the movie with him, I should know the storyline. I've been to every Star Wars movie with him or his father as he was only a baby when Star Wars was in the theater for the first time.
I'm thankful I have that sweet tooth under control now. No more sweets this month. Yes, I stopped at the store on my way to my son's and bought us a Kringle for breakfast, that after I had a good breakfast here and a few more of those Heath bars. I took those with me and left them with him. I don't have any more unlawful sweets in my home. I do have ones that are good for me, not loaded with too many calories or sugar. Also gluten-free.
I'm thankful I turned the pot roast on before I left and it was ready when I got home. So, I've had something sensible besides all those sweets this morning. Tomorrow, I'll finish the pot roast.
I'm thankful for how Vendetta is coming together, now that I know what happened and how it happened. Soon I should be able to move forward with the story again. I think I know who, but I don't have a motive yet. That will come out as the story plays itself out.

I do hope I can gain some extra money here and there which is where sites like this come in handy @just4him Mylot is the only site that pays into paypal with the rest of them I simply choose to get egift cards which helps me when I need pet food.

I'm sure you are glad you're not looking at snow. 
We have another storm brewing for tomorrow. That will replace all that melted from the last storm.
I'm glad you have the condo cleaned. I hope the chandelier isn't involved and won't take a lot of time to clean.

There was a time when I rushed to the movie theater to see the latest Star Wars movie. Even though I would love to go,I don't because of cost. I should go because I really don't do much on the line of going out to have fun.
I can give you a recipe for peanut butter brownies that uses almond flour, and a product called Swerve (it is a Keto friendly sweetener). I make them for a friend who is diabetic and her sugar levels do not spike because of her partaking in this sweet delight.

I am thankful for the ability to go to the grocery store and get whatever I want whenever I want. I hit up Trader Joe's today and bought a ton of stuff that I totally don't NEED but that I wanted. Then I went to the regular grocery store to get what was on my list.

That's awesome you did.
I need to go shopping at Aldi. I made the mistake of pulling into the shopping center where Aldi is yesterday. It was packed. I left. I can wait until tomorrow, though I will be out of bottled water. I'll drink tea. I have a lot of that. The other things I need can wait.

Valerie, I'm thankful for your friendship and the Christmas card you've sent me. So lovely. I got it in the mail today. I'm thankful for friendship, for Wylie still being alive, for landing an Upwork job, and for staying in the apartment.... hoping for fewer spot checks next year. Lovely photos!
