I am about to give up on online shopping

I ordered some household supplies from Target.com a few days ago. I wanted the UPS man to have to carry them up the 2 flights of stairs instead of me.
This afternoon I received an email from my recent ex-husband asking me if I had made a Target order in the past few days. I said yes. He asked why it was charged to his Amazon Prime credit card. I said that I had no idea and I really don't. I made an order like 2 months ago and it went onto my credit card and was delivered here. Why would I think that this new one would be any different?
So this is like the 4th time that either a recent order was charged to him (accidentally) or was delivered to the house. I'm really getting sick of this. I always double-check that the information is updated to my card and my new address here. Apparently my computer and online accounts are overriding that info and going with my old billing and shipping details.
I apologized profusely and told him that I am *not* doing this on purpose. I told him I would leave a check at the house for him tomorrow to repay him for my $58 order. He said that he didn't care about and didn't want the money. Fine. I then told him to just let me know when everything got to the house, leave it on the back porch, and I would pick it up after work. I don't want him to think that I am doing this to get him to show up here to deliver the stuff that I've bought.
I am really getting sick of this as I'm sure he is too. I'm about to give up on online shopping and go back to doing it in brick and mortar stores.

These are really the cons of online and technology. If our data is saved computer may pick that details.

@florelway Exactly. That's why I told him I'd give him a check and pick it up from the house myself. This is getting ridiculous.

It is confusing when the payment of your purchase is charged to another person. I wonder how it happened.

@NJChicaa so that means the record of the credit card in the database was not updated yet.

I'm sorry for what you're going through with the orders. Can you edit out the previous information so it only goes to you from now on? I know I needed to do that when I updated my debit card information for Amazon when I thought I had my card stolen.

Did you delete the old card information off of your account? If so, this shouldn't be happening.

I do not know how or why that is happening. So strange as you are double checking.
