Finally, I am watching it for the first time!

The Godfather Trilogy, that has been around for decades, won awards and lots of people have seen, but not I or my husband. We are finally watching it.
I am not sure why he never got around to watching it. In the past, I just never had an interest in Mafia stories. My sister bought her husband the three movies on DVD several Christmas's ago. She told me they are her husband's favorite movies. I thought at the time, "well, I may watch it one day, maybe".
But, then the other day, my husband was flipping the channels on the YouTube Channel thing we stream and there is a channel called Sundance and all three of the Godfather movies are on that channel. My husband wanted to see it and I said ok.
We are now in the second movie, half way through it.
Are there any movies that many people have seen, but you have not, or you are now watching for the first time in 2019?

I've seen all the Godfather movies several times because my husband likes them. There are a LOT of movies that many people have seen that I haven't because I couldn't get into them...Frozen, Toy Story, La La Land, Slumdog Millionaire, and on and on.

I haven't seen Frozen either. Another cartoon movie I have never seen but would like to is "The Little Mermaid".

The Godfather was the proto mafia trilogy that spearheaded the gangster movies. It was a must watch movie back in my youth. A must read novel, too.
Set the career for the great actors.

I haven’t seen all of the third one. The first two are two of the best movies I’ve ever seen.
Last yea I did a series of countdowns about movies, including things that “everybody” saw....except me. This was NOT on that list.
Hope you’re enjoying it. The cinematography is stunning to me....looks like it’s the 1940s and 50s!

I agree, the first one is the best. The ending of the third one is bad and it did shock me quite a bit.

I saw the 3 movies when they had them in the cinema. I had first read good, but not as good as the first one.the book and found that The Godfather (I) was one of the few movies that were as good as the book. The second and third films were good, but not as good as the first one.
