Being Homesick

My mom lives out of state and when she can't be here with my kids and I, it makes me feel homesick. She comes to spend the holidays with us every few years, but when she can't make it I really miss her and the rest of my family back home. I left home 20 years ago and have my own little family now and as a grown woman I wonder if the homesickness will ever go away.

Missing your Mom and family is natural things. It shows that you are still so close to them.

It must be very hard for you and the kids when she cannot be with you on the holidays. Your Mom means a lot to you and I believe that you will always miss her if she is not closeby you. That is special. She means so much to you. I feel that way about my grandfather. He has been gone many many years now but I still remember him and miss him so much.
