Introducing Chester

We spent two nights at my sister’s house recently. She has a granny flat (small house) on her son’s 5-acre block. Her son and his partner have recently got two puppies. One is a chocolate Labrador and the other a Shih Tzu/Poodle cross.
The labrador is called Chester and is developing into a big dog. Look at the size of his feet! And he is only perhaps four months old at the most. He is very affectionate but still needs to learn a few manners. A dog his size jumping up on my 5 foot, 81-year-old sister, could easily knock her over. I’m sure in time he’ll be a wonderful companion.
He looks a bit hangdog here, doesn’t it? He probably can’t understand why nobody wants to be licked to death.

@JudyEv we have labs and they like to lick. My son-in-law has a lab/pit bull mix. She arrives and the licking triples!

labs are so wonderful and sweet to be such big dogs. My black lab was the same and it took me a while to teach him. I miss that dog. Lost him to this awful state Florida too. stayed sick after we moved here and finally had to put him to sleep.

They seem wonderfully gentle and caring. The females seem happy to mother anything from ducklings to piglets.
