Happy New Year’s Day my friends. We received a free 2020 calendar a few months ago, as we do every year, with our TV Guide subscription. My husband is old fashioned and prefers that, newspaper delivery, cable TV, and a landline phone.
I had to open the calendar many times while still in Connecticut to record appointments and dates as well as several times here in Florida. However, I closed it when done recording.
This morning I opened it permanently for the new year and saw that one of our sisters-in-law arrives tonight. Friends are arriving tomorrow, and lots of dinners, concerts, etc. have been noted.
Let the good times begin! Have a wonderful, healthy, happy, prosperous, and sweet new year! I hope yours started off in a good way.

I have an appointment calendar. I just need to use it.
I hope everyone arrives safely and you have a wonderful year.
I brought it in with a shout as the ball dropped in Times Square and New Orleans. Then I turned off the TV and went to bed to get up four hours later.
Happy New Year!!! I hope it is healthy and prosperous.

I never use the one in my phone. I prefer to look at the entire month at a glance, because it’s so much easier for me.
Thank you. My brother and sis in law arrive on the 7th.
Glad you saw the ball drop in Times Square and in New Orleans. It’s tradition for us to always watch the ball drop in NYC with my hubs being a New Yorker and now with family living there. Even when we travel out of the country, we always made sure to see it. Silly us. lol

@DianneN It's been a tradition in my family since I was a kid to watch the ball drop in Times Square, even if it was an hour earlier than we were. Then we would stay up and party until midnight and go to bed. I have some good memories of New Year's Eve growing up and strangely they all center around onion soup dip and potato chips.

We receive our calendar from our Mayor, on the calendar all the local Holidays are written in red as well as the days of garden waste collection and so on. We also got one from our pharmacist, every month has a coupon to receive a free gift from them.

@DianneN Right now I am looking at the month in the little corner trying to schedule something for the 10th. I really should just go get the new one.

@wolfgirl569 I had sticky notes in mine.
I also found tickets for a play we bought last March in a drawer here with the date highlighted on an envelope.

So far so good I guess. I had a New Year card waiting in my email, so that was nice.

@snowy22315 I’m sure he will have no trouble napping whenever and wherever he is throughout the day!
Our younger son is in Boston and hoping to see those two ragdoll kitties he saw the last time he was there - just to play with them, of course.

Today I realised I do not have a calendar for 2020 so I had to print January out online until I can get to town and buy one. I usually get one for Christmas but not this year.
