It Appears that We Have Acquired a Third House

My husband and I bursted out laughing hysterically! Why? I will tell you.
Our younger son has been dating like crazy since his divorce. He is not interested in marriage. He tells his dates from the beginning that he only wants companionship. They all agree at first. After one or two dates, they want much more, and then he drops them immediately.
When he brings them to his house to hang out and talk or watch TV, they are very impressed with his beautiful house. Each girl sees dollar signs in her eyes, and each asks him why he has such a large house.
His response is that it’s his parents’ house, but they live in Florida for 6 months. He tells them he lives in his mommy and daddy’s house.
Unfortunately, that doesn’t scare them away.

Well, I guess they have good taste. Maybe he won't marry again. I know someone who has been single a very long time since a divorce, although he does have a steady girlfriend.

that would scare most girls off thinking he lives with Mommy and Daddy. I understand how your son is feeling I was that way after my children's father and I split up. It wasn't until I met my current boyfriend about 2 years later that I actually wanted to commit to anyone. I was terrified at first of giving in to any feelings for him.2 people like this

I think my son feels like you did. It will take him time to trust anyone again.
Right now, he is only looking for companionship and no strings attached. These girls all agree and after the first date are expecting more.
We just want him to be happy.

Thank you! I loved that house from the moment I saw it. And it’s only 5 minutes from our house up north.

@rakski I did after he told us about the first one he brought there.
They all want to go to bars or clubs or other crazy places after he takes them out to dinner, but those are not his thing. He doesn’t drink and is a vegetarian, and very much into his body. lol
He can either drive them home or hang at his place. Such problems!

The more that they will see dollar signs, with parents having several houses which he will eventually inherit. I think your son is just taking his time out. Don't he have kids from previous relationship?

Sometimes we think we will never marry again. I was married once, and after my divorce I said I would never marry again. I am single now, but my heart has changed. If I find love again, I think I would marry again.
I hope he finds a girl that isn't after his money and who will treat him the way he deserves to be treated. At the moment, he should just enjoy life after divorce.

I believe time heals most wounds. Hopefully, you and my son will find love and happiness again.
His divorce was recently finalized, and his ex turned out to be a cheater and liar. He has to lick his wounds and recover.
