Did you have a good childhood?

Good evening friends
I had a terrible day today, but unfortunately this is nothing new. I invited my son to have lunch together, and my mom joined us. My father started chanting and insulting me and saying disgusting things that I listen to every day. My son said this is the reason he always eats alone and I no longer call him when we're all at the table.
I feel terrible. I did not provide my child with a good childhood. After a couple of hours I went to his room and told him I was sorry and understood why he did not want to have lunch with us.
I am full of anger, hatred of my father, and can not stand it anymore.

YOu have to get out Nevena. Yes I had a good childhood. I once apologized to my son for his childhood which probably wasn't the best. He said it was more good than bad though. I had nothing to apologize for.

@Nevena83 He knows that you cared enough to say something though. That counts for alot. Most people wouldn't.

@snowy22315 I wish he had a different childhood that he didn't have to watch the violence and listen to the ugly words.

when ya let'cher heart 'n soul fill with hate, 't wins. he wins. i'm saddened that'cher son's grown seein'/hearin' this behavior. makes me worry 'bout his future'n how he treats women. but, that 'tis his choice to make, one cannot make 't fer him.
yer best bet'd be to get far 'way from there. give yerself time to heal 'n move'n with yer life. i've nary a clue what changed with yer dad, 'tis none 'f my business. but i know that folks change 'n 'tis ugly.

I had a beautiful childhood, as long as I had the love of my father, but when that was gone, my life became hell.
