Fractured my skull this Monday

On Monday night I was driving my bike home when I hit an open car door. No lights were on in the black car, so it was almost impossible to see. I was unconscious, and was brought to the hospital. There I found out my skull was fractured and I had a concussion. Luckily, neurologically everything is okay, but I'm still in a lot of pain. This is the first day I'm finally feeling a little better, and I'm so happy that is the case. It was the first time I had to stay in the hospital, and the first time I've ever broken anything.
Have you ever had to stay in the hospital?

Sorry to hear about the fracture in your skull. Were you not wearing the helmet? It was so irresponsible on part of the driver not to put the tail light on for parked car and keep the door open without indicator. It is nice however you are feeling better and you came out of this serious accident without much complications hopefully.

@maclanis Driver is definitely at fault. It is God's grace that you are still alive to put the blame on somebody. What is the point even if somebody is blamed when you have already lost something. Please make it a point to wear the helmet next time you drive two wheeler.

I'm so sorry you fractured your skull and have a concussion. I'm glad you are okay and will recover from this accident.
Yes, I've been in the hospital a few times. I've also broken bones. - Legs, arms, and hands. They were all my fault.

Hospitals are not a place one wants to stay or visit. Glad you had no permanent damage as head injuries can be quite serious. I've had a couple of hospitalizations and a few emergency room visits, but fortunately nothing too serious.

How awful. I was in a hospital for five days at age 19 after a car ran a stop sign and totally wrecked my car. I had a concussion, a broken vertebrae in my neck, broken nose and lots of scratches on my face (no seatbelts back then). It all healed up and I was fine.
My daughter had a concussion recently and it affected her eyes some. A skull fracture sounds really serious!

Omg, of all the parts of the body, I'd be greatly fearful of fracturing my skull. I'm glad you are better now. I hope you recover the soonest and do take care.
