I need to take more time for myself, because although I think about writing on here several times a day, I never let myself get to it because I'm always consumed by something else: kids, laundry, dishes, cleaning up nasty messes...the usual.
But today, after battling a nasty virus (not the flu) and taking care of 6 other inhabitants of the household (husband and kids lol) that have all taken their turn with it, I finally feel ready to start the New Year and get to all of the things I want to do, but haven't made time for.
Side note: My wonderful daughter in college brought this virus to us, all the way from Stanford. She was complaining of a sore throat a few days before her departure to see us, and after nearly three weeks here developed bronchitis that was so nasty she was coughing up blood and green mucus. I took her to the hospital, she got a Z pack, and inhaler, and a steroid, and was healthy enough to go back to school right before she had to leave. I was terrified this sickness would do the same to all of us. However, the day after my sore throat began, I started taking this concoction I found on Pinterest, and I felt better after just a couple days. I will post the recipe below. It sounds nasty, but I kind of liked it!
Cold Killer Shots
1 cup water
2 tablespoon Raw Apple Cider Vinegar
2 tsp grated ginger
Juice from 1 lemon
dash of cayenne
1-2 cloves pressed garlic
1 tbl of raw honey
1/2 teaspoon tumeric
Combine them all in a container with a lid. Shake and pour into a shot glass. Take shots throughout the day. I went through 1-2 of these containers a day.
So, anyway, now that everyone is on the mend, I'm breaking out the planners, pens, markers, laptop, tablet, phone...whatever I need to create a plan. Things haven't been so great lately, but I'm ready to take on all of the challenges in my way!
Hope you are all enjoying 2020 and I hope to chat with all of you lovely people very soon!

I've taken a copy of your recipe as we've had a few sore throats lately.

I hope you all feel better soon. That is the trouble when one person gets a virus it spreads like mad and everybody gets it. I always drink honey and lemon when I get a cold and sore throat.
