Duct Tape Fixes Everything!

You know that saying and I bet you have heard it a thousand times! I know I have. I stopped at the convenience store last week and when I came back out to my vehicle, the car in the photo was parked next to me. I immediately noticed the cosmetic repairs to the car and walked over and snapped a photo---just because I knew you would all get a laugh out of it too! Have you ever seen a car repaired with duct tape? I have to admit that I have seen brake lights taped over but nothing like this on the body of a car. Photo Credit, My own

I never have used duct tape but if it’s an old car I wouldn’t mind it. Because I wouldn’t wanna pay $ to get it fixed

@kareng yes but some who have been in an accident and not their fault .. they can take a check & not fix the issue too

@infatuatedbby That just devalues the car and also looks bad.

No, just because here you are not allowed to this kind of DIY repairs, the duct take could detach and create a problem.

Right, but that requires something upstairs. It is very often seen here in the U.S.

@LadyDuck That is good to hear! Do you think the Europeans take more pride in their vehicles?

Hubby calls our oldest daughter "crash dummy." It's mean but she earned it. LOL. And the funny part was 99% of the cops knew her dad so he always knew before she called to confess. One day one played a joke on her and told her he was taking her to jail That upset her.

@wolfgirl569 Hers was usually avoidable. For instance, she was late for school one morning and cut through Church parking lot to get on road. Truck passes, she steps on accelerator. The truck was pulling a utility trailer that she hit.

I saw a broken windshield, temporarily fixed with plastic cover and duct tape

It is amazing how long people drive around with these "temporary" fixes too!

I haven't seen it used on the body of the car but there are a few cars roamin around that have duct taped clear plastic bags over broken windows and even on one rear window, I wondered how they could see what was behind them.

That's very true. Cars are not made like they used to be.

When we first decided to have concerts in the Music Shack, our son gave us a roll of duct tape and said we were bound to need it. He was right too!

I guess some people don't care what their cars look like or what the tape is doing to the surface of their car.
