Big and giant mining and exploration companies are everywhere as long as 'black gold' if found to be present somewhere. Imagine if the was no 'Mr.black gold', may be monopoly would only be company's slogan or may be a slang And it goes without saying, green house troubles would be a history probably a prophecy Afghanistan would be more developed like most countries our soldiers would be more concerned with something else-may be alien invasion Population displacement wouldn't a thing to mention And may be Antarctica and Greenland would expand there territories Civil wars and Economic stagnation wouldn't part of some African countries May be the World population would be reaching 2.5 billion people Farming and Tech innovation would be the 'thing' But still,Even if there was no oil;the world would busy with its military structures

I prefer to think that the world would busy trying to find a solution to transportation without oil... How do you think they would move their airplanes without oil?

@MALUSE This is sure, but not as the user was discussing saying that the world would be busy with military structures.

No oil means no gulf war but Israel Palestinian war would still have been there. There would have been no pollution as in Delhi at the moment. Most importantly I would have been better off staying at home instead of going to Nigeria leaving my established government job.

If there was no oil, there was no fried chicken! Kidding. Maybe the world would be busy with military structures to fight for goldfish. Kidding again.

I think if we don't have oil, our life is hard, because oil is one of the important thing now

nowadays equally competitive alternatives are coming up,its better to use them.the downside of using oil (as according to my opinion) is to much

Oil is such a pivotal commodity in any country most especially that it runs most industries. However, this question of "what if" it would disappear or not in present time. I guess, humans as curious as we are will definitely find it's way on making the most out of what is given. But for now, the oil industry is slowly having some alternatives to it most especially in the transportation sector such as electronic cars and such. Thanks for your post!

Oil is not a renewable resource. There are people who cannot afford to go to hospital because the cost is high. Medicines contain oil and several plastic equipments as well. Soon this will be reality. Oil price will go higher.
