Day 185 Promise 243 Psalm 107:10 Such as sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron; 11 Because they rebelled against the words of God, and despised the counsel of the Most-High: 12 Therefore he brought down their heart with labor; they fell down, and there was none to help. 13 Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses. 14 He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and broke their bands in sunder. 15 Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! 16 For he hath broken the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron in sunder. Everyone rebels at some point in their lives, questioning authority and wanting to do things their way. For most of us, it doesn’t take long before we realize those in charge know what they’re talking about and conform to what is right. People rebel against God too. They try to do things their way, and when it doesn’t work, when God puts obstacles in their way, some realize God has the answers and turn to Him. As Christians, you were in rebellion before you accepted Jesus as Savior and Lord. When you realized you couldn’t walk through this life without God, you called out to Him and He heard you and brought you out of your trouble when you accepted His Son, Jesus, as your Savior. What are you going through? What hardships do you face? Turn to God and His Son, Jesus, and He will show you a better way. Let’s pray: Father, I know I don’t have the answers for the trouble I face. Help me look to You for the answers. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. Copyright © 7 February 2020 by Valerie Routhieaux Image courtesy of Pixabay. Only topic-related comments accepted.

Very true! That is one of the toughest lessons to learn growing up! But once you get it, you walk and live a nice life in the right direction.
