So GLAD Amazon Stopped You

I just read a news story online from New York Times where a guy cleared shelves of hand sanitizers, wipes, and masks in 1300 mile radius from where he lived in Tennessee and had begun to sell them on Amazon for much higher prices when Amazon seen many begin to do this and put a screeching halt to sells online of these products and will be blocking many from using the site again to sell anything as their accounts have been cancelled. Ebay and others have since followed suit. The first guy mentioned is now stuck with over 17000 bottles that he can't sell online. Another guy reasoning for pricing so high was I was doing a public service and should be paid. along with other costs I occured in gaining the product and shipping. Amazon has also stated that they will work with states who might pursue price gouging action against those the products at such high profit gains and with the pandemic now a national emergency I hope all these price gougers are dealt with enough to make them think twice next time. (We as consumers should also take a stand by not buying and then reporting suspected price gouging)

I'm going to report a 3rd party seller on Walmart.com that is selling 6 cans of soup for $80. There is a lot of that going around and I think it's terrible.

Which is why when buying online to know the average price of what you are buying so you don't fall into their trap.

I am glad that Amazon and eBay have shut these low lives down, seriously try to take advantage during an emergency is really low.

I'm glad he's been stopped. Though what he's going to do with all that hand sanitizer and masks is a question. My opinion - he should give them to those in need.

Good! A true public service in this instance would be buying enough for one's personal use and leaving the rest for others in the immediate area who may need it. What happened was that they got greedy and decided to prey on others' fear during a pandemic, and they're now dealing with the consequences of that.

People should think of finding a cure instead of making money

The ones who are price gougers dont have the knowledge of where to begin to look for a cure (which if they did they would price gouge there too)

I’ve heard that, too. It’s awful what some people try to do to make a buck.

It's a shame that it has came to this and how people are taking advantage of others like that, and people will fall for it because they are freaking out. Glad they got shut down.
