It's been a long time it is hanging in that tree. I can't wait to see it ripen. It is on the right side of our house. I can always see the banana when the window is open. They are long and big. I wonder how they taste like. We actually have two fruit bearing banana trees in our backyard.

@averygirl72 that kind of banana does not turn yellow when it is ripe. You can just tell if it ripens if it lightens its color and becomes soft.
I am here because of the community quarantine. No work so i think i can spend some of my time enjoying mylot.

It looks like lakatan to me and probably it will take 3 months before it can be harvested.

@averygirl72 bananas take a long time to harvest from the time the heart of blossom appears. Our banana is Bangkok, it takes 4 months. But for lakatan I know it is quite longer.

@averygirl72 That's really cool. I buy 2 lbs at Costco organic for $1.99 I think so not worth growing here and it doesn't grow well here.

Will it easily grow in Australia? Maybe my father bought this in Farm-Ready that sells ready to plant fruits and vegetables

@averygirl72 We grow bananas in the northern areas of Australia but it's too cold here for them.

wow! I like eating bananas. My daughter, too. I heard people are panic buying bananas in the Philippines because of the viral video saying bananas can cure COVID-19

That’s really neat. I would have thought when they grew the bananas would hang down instead of up that way. Interesting. I love bananas!
